The weather is perking up here and so, I have been hard at work developing recipes for the summer… And ‘gardening’, or rather, hard landscaping and paint-stripping… Another story for when I am not still mad about people who paint perfectly good brick walls!
This week on FriFran I have published….
One of my all time favourite recipes is Tofu and Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce. When I had to stop eating gluten, I also had to stop going to one of my favourite restaurants (that makes it sound posh – it was a cafe really but it was amazing!!!) and this was my go-to dish… I worked out how to make my gluten-free, vegan, onion-free, garlic-free version and I adore it. Just like ‘take-away’ (or take-out, or to-go!)! All of the ingredients are easy to get hold of.
I am fortunate to live very close to lots of great Oriental supermarkets and love to get stuck in to all sorts of new and wonderful ingredients. Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese cuisines are fascinating to me.
Enough of the savoury – what about the sweet stuff? You can also find a Gluten-Free, Vegan Shortbread recipe. I love this stuff. I couldn’t wait for the shortbread to cool and ate it hot (and super crumbly) with a good cup of tea. Delicious.

I mentioned last week that I was busy pulling together a free e-book with quick and easy gluten-free | vegan | + plus recipes. Great news!!! And finally…
My approach to social media is changing. I have always tried to be light touch but having had a few epiphany moments with social media I am actually enjoying it and getting stuck in. I will update you more in the next few weeks but having had my eyes opened to the world of Facebook and Instagram, I am enthralled!
