Well, summer has arrived and Bank Holiday weekend was a scorcher (highly unusual)! Of course I got caught out at breakfast on Bank Holiday Monday and got a little bit too much sun. Let’s hope that the good Bank Holiday weather bodes well for the rest of summer. Hard landscaping continues in the garden but my primary focus has been recipe development and a new free resource (more later)… Phew!
This week on FriFran I have published….
One very cool craft idea. How to make a Coffee Bean Sack Rug – that is a rug from a recycled coffee bean sack. I bought A LOT of old coffee bean sacks earlier this year (they look amazing but are all still in a large box at the moment) and shared a post on one of the minor benefits of buying a load of old coffee sacks. Since then I haven’t had much time to do anything with them until making the rug… I have more ideas in my overworked brain that I want to make the time to implement… I haven’t shared a great deal of craft ideas to date so I would be interested to know what you think.
We have also started the marvellous month of June and so, I shared the FriFran June Seasonal Produce Roundup. All the wonderful fruits, vegetables and herbs that are coming in to season are making me very happy. Check out the post in the link for all the details of seasonal produce and recipe ideas.
FriFran Resource Library news…
I have just uploaded my best free resource so far. An uber-cool, old-school, set of gluten-free | vegan | + plus recipe cards. The recipes are exclusive to the download!!! I LOVE them! The recipe cards are so great. They really make me smile. My Mum had a huge collection of recipe cards when we were young and I used to spend hours (and hours) reading them. There were some very strange recipe ideas in there (Duck Viking or Economical Pizza anyone?). I inherited the cards and the FriFran recipe cards are a gluten-free | vegan | + plus homage to the 1960s recipe cards.
The FriFran gluten-free | vegan | + plus recipe card set will give you a whole weekend (four recipes per day!!!) of exclusive, fabulous Italian recipes. All you need to do is print the cards (on card – double sided). And ta da!
If you have looked at the FriFran Facebook Page this week, you will have seen a sneak preview of the recipe cards pinned to the top of the page.
The FriFran free e-book: 10 Dishes in Under 30 Minutes is still available for download along with all the free resources.
Dowload all the free resources via the FriFran Resource Library (you should have received your password when you signed up). All FriFran recipes are quick and easy and gluten-free | vegan | + plus.
I promised you the Resource Library will grow and grow over time and it is taking shape. Do tell me your thoughts on the recipe cards, e-book and other resources and do tell me if there any other titles or ideas you would like to see? I would love to hear from you!
