If you have been craving takeaway (takeout), Chinese Fried Rice this is the perfect recipe for you. I crave takeaway food sometimes and long for the days I when I could order carefree (well, a little bit carefree!) from takeaways and restaurants. Chinese food was always my favourite food.
So, not one to ever admit defeat, now I make my own takeaway dishes. Vegan Chinese Fried Rice is quick, easy and delicious and it’s also (of course!) gluten-free! I LOVE rice. I eat it quite a lot (understatement!). This fried rice is super versatile and I think it’s really, really delicious.
You can serve this as a side to so many dishes (but why not try it with Salt and Pepper Tofu?) but it also works really well as a light main served with a salad. I love it with Broccoli, Kale and Pea Salad.

Top Tips – Vegan Chinese Fried Rice
Chickpea flour is also called gram flour, garbanzo flour or besan. It’s easy to get hold of almost everywhere.
The rice must be thoroughly cooled. Freshly cooked rice just won’t work.
This is a great way to use up left-over rice but you should only reheat rice once so don’t be tempted to reheat this recipe.
Rice is so versatile, you can have it sweet, savoury, popped and a million other ways. It’s naturally gluten-free and vegan and a joy to eat. Rice is one of my core store cupboard essentials. I eat rice several times a week. It’s super versatile and one of my favourite ingredients. I would be lost without rice!
